2005-11-05 checklist __ Wind less than 5 MPH? __ Remember to put on sunscreen __ Get, and fill in, flight card. __ Test new batteries for avionics: > 2Amp current. > 7.2Volts. __ Continuity check on four e-matches: 1.6 +/- 0.3 Ohms. __ Turn both avionics switches to off (220V) __ Check avionics switches set to 1=On, others Off. __ Install batteries __ Insert sled and install sled restraints __ Listen for interference on 433.920 MHz __ Turn on BeeLine transmitter __ Check transmission on 433.920 MHz __ Tape into avionics bay __ Insert foam block(s) into avionics bay. __ Attach aft bulkhead __ Install test lamps on primary avionics __ Turn on primary avionics (110V) __ Listen for: short-long-long-long-long switch position report, 3 short beeps continuity. __ Evacuate air from bay: check for apogee (aft) then perigee (forward) lamps. __ Turn primary avionics off (220V). __ Repeat on backup avionics. __ Make apogee (aft) ejection charges with three grams BP. __ Attach ejection charges to terminal bar. __ Cover terminal bar with tape to keep it clean. __ Install appropriate rail guides. __ Does rail bolt protrude into bay? Will harness snag? Cover with tape? __ Fold and rubber band the shock cord. __ Attach apogee shock cord to motor mount __ Fold drogue chute. __ Attach to shock cord and place into apogee bay. __ Attach parachute and line protector onto shock cord and pack. __ Attach beeper to parachute biner and route pull cord through vent. __ Attach shock cord to payload bay. __ Mate avionics bay to airframe. __ Insert four shear pins. TBD-> this may happen at the pad. __ Make perigee (forward) ejection charges with six grams BP. __ Attach ejection charges to terminal bar. __ Cover terminal bar with tape to protect it. __ Fold airframe parachute __ Attach the parachute to one end of its shock cord. __ Run its shock cord through parachute protector and shock cord protector. __ Attach parachute shock cord to avionics bay. __ Fold and rubber band shock cord into bay on top of protector. __ Attach nosecone deploy bag retainer to parachute carabiner. __ Place parachute into payload bay. __ Fold nosecone parachute. __ Place nosecone parachute into deploy bag __ Place deploy bag into payload bay. Leave parachute biner exposed. __ Attach beeper to parachute biner and run pull line through vent. __ Listen for interference on 433.945 MHz. __ Turn on second BeeLine transmitter. __ Check transmission on 433.945 MHz. __ Attach transmitter cord to parachute biner. __ Fold and rubber band nosecone shock cord. Leave its biner exposed. __ Assemble motor per instructions. __ Install motor adapter(s) per instructions. __ Check continuity on igniter. __ Measure igniter against casing and bend at insertion depth. __ Tape igniter to 3/32" or 1/8" wooden dowel __ Tape igniter assembly to airframe. __ Place motor into airframe and secure with retainer. __ Place nosecone onto rocket and check CG. __ Remove nosecone. __ Items to bring to pad: Flight card igniter on dowel tape altimeter screwdriver flashlight Eight shear pins (plus spares) Shear pin screwdriver Nosecone support __ Carry airframe and nosecone to RSO and then to launch tower. __ Place airframe onto rail. __ Attach foam support to the nosecone oserving proper orientation. __ Attach parachute carabiner to nosecone. __ Mate nosecone observing proper orientation. __ Erect the launch tower. __ Make sure ballistic path is slightly downrange. __ Install four nose shear pins. __ Remove nosecone support. __ Install four apogee shear pins, if necessary. __ Turn on primary avionics (110V). __ Listen for short-long-long-long-long switch beeps. __ Listen for three short continuity beeps. __ Repeat for secondary electronics. __ Attach igniter to ignition system. __ Install igniter per directions. Secure with tape. __ Wind still less than 5 MPH? Ready for launch. After recovery: __ Record altitudes
