Will's Cert 3 nosecone subsystem

Jim was worried about the ballast shifting in the nosecone. I drilled a 1/8" hole in both sides of the "service module" and installed a 1/8" brass rod all the way across.
Then 25 pounds of lead shot was installed into the nose using several cups of epoxy.
The bulkhead and u-bolt seat deep inside the nosecone. It is glued into the nosecone using lots of epoxy mixed with a strengthening filler as per the manufacturer's instructions.
The shoulder was then pierced in four spots for the shear pins. I will evaluate the need for thin brass sheet over the holes to reinforce them and to help shear the pins.
In the meantime all shear pin holes have had CA wicked into them and the shearing surfaces of cardboard tubes have also been treated with CA.

This completes the nosecone assembly.
